Priorities

Dr. Pam Sardo is running for re-election to Josephine City Council to champion a stronger, more accountable community. With nearly $50 million in city debt—equivalent to over $13,000 per resident, including children—Pam is fighting to stop reckless spending and ensure taxpayer priorities come first. She’s committed to securing water, sewer, and road infrastructure before new development, preserving our small-town charm, and restricting property sales to citizens. Drawing on her government experience, Pam delivers solutions that work for Josephine.

Preserve Our Small-Town Charm

You chose Josephine for its welcoming, rural feel. I’ll fight to maintain that charm, as recommended by the Josephine Long-Term Planning Subcommittee.

Boost Local Retail and Grocery

Supporting small businesses strengthens our economy. I’ll network with developers and Chambers of Commerce to bring local retail and grocery options to Josephine.

Stop Excessive Debt

Josephine’s $50 million debt dwarfs Hunt County’s $12 million. As the only council member demanding voter approval for debt, I’ll protect taxpayer funds and stop unchecked spending.

Expand Parks and Open Spaces

Safe, accessible parks are vital for families. I’ll advocate for more outdoor spaces for kids, teens, and adults to enjoy, per the Long-Term Planning Subcommittee.

Promote Larger Home Lots

The city’s Comprehensive Plan notes only 32.26% of homes are single-family, yet larger lots are most desired. I’ll support diverse, customized housing to make every resident feel valued.

Improve Water, Road, and Sewer Infrastructure

Residents, including myself, have faced water shortages and inconsistent flow. Per the Comprehensive Plan, we must upgrade infrastructure before expanding construction.

Ensure Wise Land Use

I’ll address concerns like the NTMWD monofil, TxDOT Route 6 expansion, and the Collin County North-South Loop near homes and schools. I’ll push for transparent ordinances on rentals and mixed-use development.
